Daloa, city in west central Côte d'Ivoire, capital of Daloa Department. The city of Daloa serves as a trade center for crops such as cassava, yams, and rice; it is also the site of several sawmills. Daloa is the seat of a Roman Catholic bishop and has several Protestant churches. Northeast of Daloa is Marahoué National Park, a wildlife reserve. Daloa is connected by road to Séguéla to the north, Issia and Gagnoa to the south, Bouaflé to the east, and Duékoué and Man to the west.
Daloa was founded by Gboto of the Bete people (a Kru group) and Dalo of the Guro people(a Mande group). The town became a French military post in 1903.
